• Jon Howells +

    Jon founded Park Partners in January 2014 after having been a Managing Partner at Capstan Capital Partners. Previously, he was head of the European Transportation and Business Services team at Lazard where for 15 years he advised on M&A, IPO advisory, and restructuring transactions. Prior to Lazard, he was a strategic consultant at Arkwright Consulting. Jon graduated from Oxford University with a MA in Classics.
  • Simon Dunn +

    Simon joined Park Partners in 2015 to extend the firm’s activities into ecommerce and retail. He has 25 years of investment banking expertise, gained in both corporate finance and equity research, at Arma Partners, RBS, Dresdner Kleinwort, UBS and others. Simon holds an MA in Economics, Finance and Investment from Exeter University; and a BSc in Geology from Edinburgh University.
  • Aran Williams +

    Aran has worked for over 20 years in finance of which he spent 17 years at Lazard, specialising in the global shipping and offshore sectors. Since 2009, Aran has advised on many significant shipping restructuring transactions, working extensively with senior creditors on deals such as Genmar, Torm, OSG, Clipper, Excel Maritime, Primorsk and Eagle Bulk.  In addition, Aran successfully closed many M&A transactions including UASC's merger with Hapag Lloyd, Torm's merger with Oaktree’s product tanker fleet, HMM’s sale of its LNG business, and the sale of VShips to Omers. Before specialising in shipping, Aran was a generalist banker at Lazard, focused on Nordic and European M&A and restructuring.  He started his career in corporate finance at S. G. Warburg (UBS) before becoming a fund manager in Moscow with Prosperity Capital Management. Aran studied at Durham University and holds a joint Honours degree in French and Russian.
  • Edward Matthews +

    Edward has over 15 years of advisory and principal investment experience with a particular focus on the shipping and maritime services sectors. Previously, he worked at a multi-family office, making and overseeing investments in the shipping, aviation and property sectors. Before this, he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets teams at Rothschild both in London and Hong Kong. Edward graduated from Durham University with a BA in Combined Social Sciences (Economics, Business & Politics).
  • Peter Ahlås +

    Peter has had a successful career in the maritime insurance and shipping services industry. He served as Director and Chairman of HSBC Insurance Brokers, Cyprus and of HSBC Shipping Services. He is currently a board member of Tide Forsikring, a Director of Maritime London, Trustee of Maritime London Officer Cadet Scholarship Trust, Chairman of C Solutions and a member of the advisory board of Svenska Bostadsfonden, a property investment company. He is a Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman in The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights. Peter served in the Royal Swedish Navy and retain a close involvement and interest in Naval Issues.
